What people are saying

“I hail from the lovely and warm island of Haiti and miss our beaches more than words can express, and in a mindful exercise, Laura transported us to a beach, and up until I heard her bell announcing the end of the session I real life felt the warmth of the Caribbean waters and sun on my skin. Only to come to- and realize: “Nope, I am still in Washington, DC and living in the middle of a health and racial pandemic”. She is that good. I refer her services to any organization wanting to expand their wellness initiatives at their organizations. Laura, I look forward to more collaborations in the future.”

- Natasha Dejardines, Benefits & HR

“Laura led a wellness workshop on goal setting at our 2020 Visioning Offsite and it was incredible. She really took the time prior to the event to understand the needs of our employees and to craft a unique experience that combined research, in-person practices, and takeaway tools for staying committed to the goals that were set during the workshop. Our employees were raving about the workshop during the rest of the offsite and it really set the tone for a successful few days. We would absolutely recommend Laura to any organization interested in offering wellness programming to their employees.”

- Charles Minett, Director of Culture

“I’m fortunate to work for a company that values employee welfare, including self-care and mindfulness.  It was through a company-sponsored program that I was first introduced to Laura.  During one of our group sessions, Laura created a space that invited us to fully feel our emotions.  I’ll never forget, she said, “Now, allow yourself to feel sad.  What does sad feel like for you?”  I’m so grateful I was working from home that day and was alone and off-camera because I completely broke down.  Until that moment I wasn’t even aware of how much sadness and grief I was repressing on a daily basis. I knew the source – my twenty-year marriage had ended suddenly and unexpectedly 10 years earlier when my husband walked out.  This was complicated even more just a few years ago when my ex-husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and passed away after battling valiantly for 13 months. When the opportunity was presented to work one-on-one with Laura, I knew I owed it to myself to make peace with that experience.  Through tools and practices that Laura introduced me to – journaling, breathwork, guided meditations, and more – I was able to find forgiveness within myself for both me and my ex-husband, to reclaim the love and happy memories from our years together, and to look forward to exciting new adventures and opportunities instead of dwelling on the past. Laura is kind, gentle, and does a wonderful job of really listening to her clients to tailor sessions for their specific needs.  I wholeheartedly give her my highest recommendation!  She is a gem and a gift to those lucky enough to work with her.”

Recent Keynote

We are living through not only a global pandemic but a loneliness epidemic. More than ever before we need to find solutions to this growing challenge. In this talk, I explore how the destigmatization and revolutionization of online friend-making is our best hope for combating the pain of loneliness felt worldwide. I discusses the 4 core elements of the creation and maintenance of meaningful friendships which are: mutual vulnerability, generosity, reciprocity, and energy. I explain how building technology with these elements in mind will allow digital platforms to re-create the experience of in-person connection, and I give tangible takeaways to begin implementing these pillars into your friendships right now - online and in-person.
